Before living in San Francisco I was living down the peninsula in Redwood City. It is a lovely 1950’s suburb, great for families and full of sun, much like the city of La Mesa in San Diego where I am from. So to get out of the suburbs on the weekend, James and I would indulge in our love for hoteling and treat ourselves a staycation in the city, any change we could get. These photos were taken at one of our favorite hotels in the city, the Hilton Union Square, on one of those staycays.
While these are not overly impressive photos by any stretch of mind, the skyline views from the hotel rooms are very impressive and worth checking out! We have stayed a few times already and I really enjoy the hotel’s great amenities and proximity to great shopping. There is a big lobby bar with plenty of seating which makes it a good meet-up location for visiting and enjoying drinks during happy hour. There is also a full coffee bar with mini-market and food options, a fitness center, concierge services, restaurant, etc. The best perk is the Cityscape Bar & Lounge on one of the top floors, again with spectacular panoramic views and friendly service. These are some photos I took during one of my previous visits. It feels like a little hidden gem if you ask me.
